I'm having the same issues as Randy. Originally starting with my never updated display drivers from 2009, I was able to play anything and everything I had installed, including Crysis 2 almost to full settings (Over-heating beat that one down right quick), but everything else ran well. After the update, both the one that updates to 9/8/2011, as well as the beta update, which shoots to 10/16(?)/2011, both of these drivers consistently crash my display. The display shoots to (usually) black and gray lines running from top to bottom, but I've seen white and gray, and red and gray. This doesn't only happen when trying to play BF3, as I've seen it happen in ME2, as well as just sitting on facebook. If you guys have anything that you think would help, I would greatly appreciate it. I've been fighting this issue for a week with nothing. Thanks.

Hi randy and zpwkc7,

It could be the newer driver is causing the issues on your system, or your system is overheating. For the driiver as cause, see my referenced post:
Hi Randy,

When you uninstalled your AMD driver, Windows 7 installed a Microsoft VGA driver on the next boot. I see many reports of Video driver installations gone bad and have read 2 schools of thought on successful video driver installation.

The first school says just install the new video driver over the old one with nothing special. Attempting to uninstall your current driver prior to upgrade will just create problems.

The 2nd school recommends cleanup of any remaining video driver files after uninstalling the current driver. In your case I would go with this school. See my referenced post in another thread below:
http://www.asusrog.com/forums/showth...ll=1#post39213

If your system uses the NVIDIA driver, just replace CCC and ATI in the referenced procedure to NVIDIA.

Be aware that you may need to roll back to an earlier driver version to maintain stability. Restoring your system to an earlier time may be the easiest way to accomplish this.

I recommend monitoring GPU and CPU temperatures with SpeedFan to see if you are overheating. If you are getting up into the 90's C, you may need to do some cooling maintenance such as blowing out your fans and exhausts with compressed gas or have a repaste performed on your GPU.

Yes. I was just suggesting that it's a good idea to confirm the hardware, since Asus doesn't make it obvious which model was used. But that's more about eliminating confounding issues, as I believe it's the ATK driver (exclusively) that controls these kinds of keyboard associations.

To that end, I'd suggest completely uninstalling the ATK package, rebooting, re-installing it, and rebooting again.
