To flash: Easiest method is to place ROM file on a formatted USB flashdrive (FAT/FAT32) and use EZ-Flash BIOS utility, accessed by hitting F2 during laptop POST / Startup

the only problem with the win 7 iso is theres no ASUS icon on the control panel system page and one of the apps from asus's site said this is only for an asus machine and had to abort the app. dont remember which, but it sux!

You need to install the ATK Package....that's the one that will tell other apps that it's an Asus machine. And you can put any logo you want on the system page. (It's just an entry in the registry that points to the image file.)

I believe the BB model has the Chicony 1.3M model.

im installed turboboost monitor 2.0 and im also installed from driver disc and now i have 2 turboboost monitor and the monitor gadget doesnt work.

Hi Chastity

I am in despirate need of help. :s

I had ccc 11.1 installed and I decided to install 11.1a. My plan was to uninstall ccc via control panel, reboot in safe mode, run driversweeper, cc-cleaner then ati crap cleaner, reboot again, install the original ccc from asus then install 11.1a over that. The problem is that after running driversweeper, cc-cleaner and ati crap remover my computer never rebooted again. It is as if my graphics card is gone, just a black screen without even a flicker of light. I had tried spaming F8 to try and get it into safe mode to let windows load the generic driver and then I would fix it from there, that didnt work. I then tried out of despiration my asus driver cd, that did nothing. I then tried my windows 7 x64 repair disk, that did nothing. I have a external hdd with a full system image, I also have 4 DVDs that a burnt a system image onto the 1st time I used the computer but unfortunatly I have no way of using either of them since I cant see anything. I am sure getting into the BIOS and setting the computer to boot from DVD would help but I have no idea how to navigate the BIOS without being able to see it.

At the moment my beautiful G73jh is nothing more than a flat black paper weight 😞

Please any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I FIXED IT!!! As a very last ditch effort I took the lappy appart and removed the cmos battery, held down the power button. After I put it back together she started up. Of course I had to do a system restore from my image but now everything is perfect.

Anyone have any info. on the lag box in the top right corner for ATI 11.01 drivers? I reverted back to stock drivers because of it.

I am sorry to report that something must have went wrong. My computer's restore was about 75% finished when I went to sleep and everything was working fine. Now that I woke up the computer again shows nothing but a blank screen. Back to paper weight status 😕
