To flash: Easiest method is to place ROM file on a formatted USB flashdrive (FAT/FAT32) and use EZ-Flash BIOS utility, accessed by hitting F2 during laptop POST / Startup

Hi all, I just got my G74SX-A1, and I'm noticing it too slow on startup, so I will go for a clean install. But first, I can't download de G74SX drivers from here, it gives me a timeout error!
Also, what are all the fixes that are needed? Wich programs are really useful? What exactly to install in a clean install? I mean, the Asus "softwares". I'm sorry for the questions, but i've not found a post that says this exactly.

PS: I already upgraded BIOS to 202

mariton, your G74SX should have come with a drivers cd/dvd. As far as useful ASUS programs, I wouldn't bother with GameFast if you already have GameBooster and ASUS Vibe Fun Center is just a way toned down version of Windows Media Center imo. Rotation Desktop for G Series is entirely up to you, I have no need for it personally. USB Charger is another thing that's up to you if you want charge devices via usb when your system is in a standby state.
