Generally, I can't find information about the specifications of the slots, but in this case, I suppose they have to go in odd and even number pairs.
On my Asus ROG G703GI, I have stock 16GB on the inner slot 2.
I have ordered the very exotic and difficult to come by Apacer Technology 16GB RAM stick.
Now with regard to the video, there are a few things I disagree with. But for the purpose of this post I the main thing is that the heat sink doesn't have to be disassembled for the board to be flipped. If we are careful we can flip the whole thing with the fans.
I have done this on the Asus ROG GB703VT. Granted it is much thinner and lighter but the principle is the same. In that case, I think the fans were not so strongly taped to the heat sink as it appears to be the case here.
Also if we are separating the heatsink I would think we should replace all thermal paste, not just the GPU/GPU but that is a separate thing.
