After a clean install, as you call it, you are supposed to use the ASUS Install Program located in the eSupport Folder to reinstall the necessary programs and drivers to restore your laptop to its' original configuration. Without the eSupport Folder you can not get full functionality.
You can return your laptop to ASUS for repair, hope your warranty will cover what is needed.
You can ask fellow G703 owners to provide access to a copy of the needed eSupport Folder.
Or you can request support from an ASUS support official on this forum. Perhaps your problem can be resolved.
