This is directed at Asus support really.

Just bought a G701VI laptop the other week, and was wondering why Nvidia's official notebook driver pack doesn't detect the 1080...
I tried manually updating it via device manager, from 369.56 to 376.09, still doesn't pick up the card.

The only package that works is from the support page.

Try official 375.70. For some reason, latest drivers won't work....

Have you used the desktop or M version of the drivers?

I have the same issue with the 1070 on my G752VS. Tried BOTH desktop and mobile versions and got the same error message: compatible hardware not found.
