G55VW Enable iGPU in BIOS

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to enable iGPU in this laptop. I wanted to use the iGPU's quicksync for in home streaming in steam. I know the CPU has a built in internal graphics, I find it odd that Asus wouldn't add an option in the BIOS to activate this.

That's correct the HD graphic is disabled in the G55VW, and most others, the put it back on for the G750 and off again for the G751. Lots of issues with it for the G750.

Any fix to get the iGPU working? I've been reading about BIOS mods and I was thinking maybe somebody out there has done this before.

Non other than buying a notebook that has it enabled It seems to not be enabled on the CPU itself like it not there at all.

I tried dabbling with BIOS mods and I think your right, the iGPU itself might just be physically locked and not firmware locked. Oh well it was worth a try at least. You learn something new everyday.
