G55VW - Bad card reader driver?

My card reader so hard reading any card. If it can, it will take a long time before it detect the card. I try inserting MicroSD in adaptor and MMC also SD card. Took so long till the device detected. Some of them is never detected.

I installed the default Alcor driver provided in the ASUS e-driver application.

Anyone experiencing this? Is there any better driver?

My G75VW uses an Alcor driver, may be the same or similar piece of hardware. I just put in a 8GB class 2 card and it took 4 seconds to popup a window.

if can please sent asus service center to check. if it is very troubling you.
