I'm having the same issue. I purchased a G751JM from Best Buy yesterday, and the issues comes up whenever a game closes, then my computer restarts.

Guys, that's eerily close to the same problem on the G750JM, with the same GPU, the 860m. Those users were having crashes exiting games when using Nvidia drivers after 332.60.

Recently the problem started to go away with Nvidia release 344.11, getting better with each release up through 344.65.

You could try doing a clean install of 332.60 and see if the problem goes away.

And, if you aren't already on 344.11 or above, then try that too.

Please let us know your results.

Kai, you didn't mention if your problem is also on the G751JM, if it is, can you please add G571JM to the title?

Oops, I am sorry. Forgotten to state my laptop model. G551JM.

Kai , what Nvidia / Intel version are you running? You have the 860m, and that is the same as the G751JM / G750JM...

Do you get the crash coming out of games? Maybe try 332.60 to see if that stops the BSOD's, then try the newer versions starting with 344.11.

Always do a Custom/Clean Install of the Nvidia driver, rebooting between updates.

Alright I shall try doing that. Btw could this problem be caused by ram problem? Because I asked the salesperson to add a 4gb ram stick for me.

Kai, yes, bad memory will cause BSOD's too. It's always important to investigate any hardware upgrades, or recent software installs when experiencing BSOD's.

And, how are the BSOD's occuring? At boot, during random times while powered up, during game exits, and how often are you getting the BSOD's.

How much memory did the laptop have before adding 4GB - that is an odd amount to add. Did you have 4GB and upgrade to 8GB, or 8GB and upgrade to 12GB, or 12GB and upgrade to 16GB.

Can you please post the image of CPU-Z SPD for each filled RAM slot - to find out if all the SODIMM's are compatible, like this shot:

CPU-Z download, I download the Asus ROG skinned version

My Nvidia automatically updated and I haven't had the issue since. I assumed it fixed itself. Thanks for the info!

It was the memory stick problem but even when they replaced it, the memory problem was still happening. So what they did was, they sent it for service. I only had it for 10 days and the services would take a time of 2 weeks to 2 months! Any chances i could request for a change instead of their services?

I rolled back my driver to 344.11 just today so I will come back and report if the Power Driver State Failure occurs again, hopefuly not because I just bought this g551jm not even two weeks ago. I just hope that my games will be unaffected and that nvidia fixes the issue in future drivers soon.
