Thank you for your reply MarshallR, I was thinking that G56 is going to be this extra solution for all ASUS customers, splitting the line in two. The G56 - lighter, smaller but still powerful enough and from the other side G550- bulkier, notch more powerful but still offering the ROG DNA and the opportunity to add SSD raid and some small other touches for all enthusiast – the game changer. But now from my perspective we have two really close products, I see that internally this is not entirely true, but some of the strong sides like 32GB RAM, 2nd m-sata SSD & RAID, Thunderbolt, Air Vents are not part of the deal anymore in 15’s series. And I am inclined to think that the gamers as a society starves to have this separation, the small differences under the hood and what this provides for them. Don’t get me wrong, mobility is great, but I assume identity with performance and customization is what most of the gamers are going after (or it is important for me in 2014), it isn’t fun when all this is not accompanied with eccentric design. And I am not sure ROG 15 will provide this fun ……. opening my pc in a café and being watched, feels just good 😄
