Hi,

Is there any way to control the fan speed?
I can only max it or not max it.
I would like to control it to a specific level.

Thanks in advance : )

I believe fan speed is judged via temperature.

There is no governor that allows you to control it at specific levels.

You can either turn it off, have it on auto, or have it running full speed at all times via DOS I believe.

At the moment I can change turn on the max speed from the asus GPU tweak,
I am worried that if the fan is working on full speed too often, it will reduce the lifespan of the fan.
Anyone know about this? (Asus G550JK)

You may already be aware of this, and just wanted to point out for others to be very concerned about the lifespan of the rest of the notebook like the motherboard, vga, cpu, etc. and not just the fans, but yes, understand it's never a good time or convenient if your fans stop working.

If you can keep your heatsink fins clean/dust free, this should help some with extending both the life of both your fans and notebook, but will make more of a difference if you are in a dustier environment.

Hi cl-Albert,

I'm awared on the things that you have pointed out.
So I hope there is some way to control the fan speed to keep everything at a healthy
temperature...

Hi, I was wondering how you were able to modify the settings in Asus GPU Tweak. On my G550JK, nothing in GPU Tweak can be modified, clicking or dragging the switches do nothing, dragging just moves the window around.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Can you tell me your GPU and CPU temps on gaming or heavy load?
Asus G75VW-RS72
Old reliable Qosmio X305

I have turn on Battlefield4 for a few minutes and please see the attached picture.

The fan speed doesn't seems to increase much although the temperature was high.
Just now my motherboard went up to 80 degree Celsius but the print screen was failed and the temperature dropped.
