I believe fan speed is judged via temperature.
There is no governor that allows you to control it at specific levels.
You can either turn it off, have it on auto, or have it running full speed at all times via DOS I believe.

At the moment I can change turn on the max speed from the asus GPU tweak,
I am worried that if the fan is working on full speed too often, it will reduce the lifespan of the fan.
Anyone know about this? (Asus G550JK)

You may already be aware of this, and just wanted to point out for others to be very concerned about the lifespan of the rest of the notebook like the motherboard, vga, cpu, etc. and not just the fans, but yes, understand it's never a good time or convenient if your fans stop working.
If you can keep your heatsink fins clean/dust free, this should help some with extending both the life of both your fans and notebook, but will make more of a difference if you are in a dustier environment.

Can you tell me your GPU and CPU temps on gaming or heavy load?

Hi,
Is there any way to control the fan speed?
I can only max it or not max it.
I would like to control it to a specific level.
Thanks in advance : )
