With 8 GB, possibly, though I would peg it at <50% probability. Can you post the specs of the RAM in your computer now? Mainly, I am wondering about the voltage (1.35 vs 1.5). I know that some of the older G-series notebooks would run at 1866 speeds up to 8 GB of RAM. Beyond that (all 4 slots filled), they down-clocked to 1333.

You will be able to run this type of RAM memory, but you WILL NOT be able to run it on its maximum frequency, because the motherboard supports only up to 1600 MHz. If you install it, it will automatically down-clock to 1600. Its not worth your money!

OK, that is what I had figured. I use the other convention (2x4 = 4 GB x 2 modules). Just wanted to make sure.
