G53SX Won't Turn On Problem - Scoured the internet for fixes

I'll get straight to it,

The problem first, my g53sx won't turn on, about 3 months ago I came home after work and my laptop was off even though I had left it on downloading movies, so when I tried to turn it on nothing happened, when I plug the power cord in the little orange light turns on but when I press the power button all the lights on the laptop flash and go off and then within about 15 seconds the little orange light turns back on. If I mash the power button 30ish times the power button lights up as if it was on but that's all that happens, the 3 buttons to the left stay dark and the screen doesnt turn on.

Now what i've tried to fix it, I tried the magnet trick rubbing it in small circles next to the track pad which didn't work, however I used the strongest magnet I had on the fridge for this so i'm not sure if it's a strong enough magnet to do anything. I've also taken the laptop apart and removed the ribbon thing to no avail.

A little more background, about 9 months before this happened the pin broke off in the charger and I had to send it off to get fixed it was such a pain in the ass, took them 2 months to get it back and they wouldn't answer any of my calls I had to call asus headquaters and then I got a response from the people fixing it, but when I got it back one of the usb ports had the thing broken off and I see 4 little pin things inside instead, 1 of those is broken and whenever I would try to plug a usb in that port my laptop would just switch of, I didnt want to have to deal with the support team again so I just stopped using that usb port. What may have happened is my sister plugged something into that port and fried the motherboard, but I had plugged things in the many times and it just switched off for me so I dont know.

I don't have the money to send it off to get repaired and the warranty is out, however I could probably afford to buy a new motherboard and do it myself but if it's not the motherboard and I buy that i'll be screwed so I want to see if there's any other options for me to try before going that route.

Thanks in advance to the people who reply.

It's very weird to see this posted because as of yesterday evening I ran into the exact same issue. The last few months I've had problems with my display on my G53SX and I would get these pink lines on the display. However when I would hold the laptop up slightly on the right side the problem screen problem would disappear. However, yesterday the screen had a similar issue again except it was all pink and then it froze. Now I'm getting the same symptoms that you're experiencing also where it tries to power on and then goes into this reboot loop... and I can't see the screen at all.

Prior to this, the power pin broke off within the first 3 months and I had to send it off to get replaced. Now the laptop is out of warranty, so I can't imagine just how much this will cost to replace it.

It seems from what I've been reading on other forums, this has been a common problem with this line of Asus models since day one. There was probably a bad batch sent from the factory and Tigerdirect just bought them up and sold them to try and move stock.
