G53sx starts up with black screen

As topic, my computer suddenly started to boot with black screen. Cant say there is some sound indicating that it is in windows either. Does anyone here have an ide how to fix this?

Does the BIOS appear first or not? If it does, then you have a problem with Windows, which can probably be fixed. If the BIOS logo isn't appearing either, then you likely have a hardware problem, which will entail sending the notebook in to ASUS to repair.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Thank you for the response. I am sad to say that the bios logo isn't appearing either. So i guess Asus repair is the next thing to do then. I have already send them a mail. But i don't think i will get response until Monday

I'll refresh the old topic as I have a similar problem. My G53sx started playing up few weeks ago when my cat decided to knock the table offff..... Laptop of course ended up on the floor and the black screen occurred. However the Windows was loading because I could hear the sound and I could even log in to my user and so on. Then after 2 days the issue fixed itself. Screen was working fine for a few good days and then again BLACKNESS! After dismantling everything and having a quick scan of the cables etc I managed to get it up 😉 So I can see things now and my Windows is fine and all that BUT.... It seems that my screen is black on boot up. I can't see Asus logo or access BIOS or do anything for that matter. The first thing I see is the mouse cursor when Windows is loading but nothing prior to that. I checked the BIOS version and got 203. But after reading there are some issues with 209 version I feel reluctant to install it.
Any ideas of how to fix it so I can see BIOS and so on?

Sorry, no, I don't have really any ideas. I would guess that your hardware is damaged somehow. If the first thing that you see is the Windows cursor, that's when Windows boot switches out of the VESA framebuffer modes into the nVidia driver modes in the video card.

Issue solved 😄 The reason : 2 screens.

I have tried to connect the second screen to it just to check if it's graphic card or maybe sth on the cable connection. And what I didn't realize is that I left the settings as they were instead of putting them back to default. So my laptop had probably displayed BIOS and Asus logo on completely imaginary monitor 🙂

Silly girl of me but oh well.... at least it's working now ^^
