G53JW - Overheat .. Help

Retired
Not applicable
Hi!

I have a problem with my G53JW .. With everything at stock-speed of course..

I noticed that my G53JW was pretty noisy compared to my friends..

So I made a furmark test, and noticed that the temp on the GPU reached 93C 😕

Roomtemp was 21C...

Is this a common issue or is it just my computer?

in furmark of course. that burn in program really burns your gpu in. it will really stress your gpu and increase your temps. you may be able to lower a few degrees if you reapply thermal compound but yes, those are proper numbers.

That's odd, I read in this forum that they OC'ed GPU much and still only got 87C after 30min furmark 😕

is a core temp of 93C a problem with these machines? Or 87C, for that matter?

I honestly don't know... trying to learn.

What i've read above 100 is dangerous but u should keep it under 90C for safety..

In the G73 forum, I have a whole thread about gpu temps guidelines.
