G51jx Strange Events Going on !

I never had problems with this machine before now oh my well here goes when I tell the machine to reboot from windows 8
it starts to reboot but then it powers it self off then it turns it self backon and completes the reboot. Second issue if I go into the bios to make changes when I tell it to save and restart it just locks up there. The only way out is to power down. Any ideas
please !

That there's some strange Juju, Gary! I'm particularly concerned about the lockup when you attempt to save changes to the BIOS. I'm surprised you don't have a laptop-shaped paperweight at this point.

If I were in your situation, I'd attempt a CTRL+HOME Crisis BIOS Recovery (see http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?32835-Possibly-bricked-G46VW) to see if it straightens that bad boy out.... It's possible that itself may brick your laptop, but it seems like an RMA for Warranty repair is the only other option.

I might also run memtest86+ for at least 3 passes to confirm your memory and CPU memory controller are sound.

when you power on, press Ctrl + Home key to flash to orignal BIOS. you system auto reboot, is it occur win 8? is win 7 system occur?
please make sure your driver install complete in device manager no error, also check memory is ok or not.
