G501 WIFI throttled down to 100kb/s on battery

I notice that the g501 is limiting wifi to about 100kb/s when running on battery.
So far I haven't been able to disable this insane limit.

I mean, 100kb/s is not even suited for youtube streaming, other than 140p

This may be a stupid question, but have you checked the advanced power options in the control panel? You might be able to change your wireless adapter power settings there if you haven't tried that yet.

never had any problems whatsoever too.

I tried some, but probably not all settings.
There are so many issues with the g501, it's obvious the Asus team isn't putting their heart into this one.
Never mind, my g501 has returned to its maker - I'll going to give the MSI Ghost a try instead.

There has GOT to be a way to fix that... i was noticing this problem the other day when trying to use youtube... gotta be a fix for it somewhere! bump
