G501 Screen flickering only when power is plugged in

When gaming i get screen flickering and black horizontal lines across the screen.
However if I unplug the power, the issues immediately resolve.
Plugging the power back in, and the flickering resumes.

Happens only when gaming, and more gfx intensive games are worse.

This could be power related.

I'm on 220v
