I purchased a G501 that did not have the M.2 port populated. I am having a heck of a time getting the BIOS, or anything for that matter, to see a connected M.2 drive. I have tried two now, and no go. Tell me there's hope. I have the latest v211 BIOS flashed.

This is really my main problem with ASUS these days. No answers, no staff involved with tech support. Why do I stay loyal to this brand?

Wow that really sucks. Can't you return it, and buy the model at the shop you want?
Yeah it's really important to check the model number with all the specifications

I guess its just a strange model. It also only seems to go to 1080p on the display, and the M.2 slot is dead. Sad times for this model/brand. My only hope is an RMA since it is outside of it's return policy.
