G46VW Backlight Issue - solved

I recently installed an SSD from using a normal HDD. When I boot up the computer the backlight does flash. However when I get to windows it does not work.

I tried using the recovery usb I made with the original HDD, that didn't work.

So I used my fathers disc and product key, then a program to pull my key from the bios. Works fine.

I'm also having to manual install drivers, which is no problem. I am currently missing sleep mode.

Any suggestions on how to get the backlit keyboard working again? Doesn't seem there's software/drivers for it on the support site.

These 2 should get your kb backlight and the hotkeys working again.

You'll need the misc drivers like IME and IRST, plus the other applications and drivers windows can't find.

Look under windows 8 and not windows 8.1

Thanks the ATK did the trick! I thought something would specify about the backlight and not just the hotkeys as all of mine except those were working. Thanks again

Glad to here it is fixed!
