First of the year (urgent)

Well, guys, I guess I'll be the first man ever - please giv an achievement frame to me. My wonderful and powerful G750 JH for $3000 goes black screen and never switches back on again. 3 months old, hopefully warranty still applies, especially that I bought it outside the UK, where I'm sending it to Service Center. No sounds were made, no smells, it was plugged in, wasn't hot at all, not much dust at the back, never wet or dropped. My buddy just decided to leave me:(

But does anyone have some sort of ideas what could have caused that?

Impossible to say, really - not much to go on.

Did you try:

Remove all cables connected to the unit

Unplug the power

Remove the battery

hold power button for 10secs

Replace the battery

Power on
USA ASUS Reseller

Tried that. Tried cable without battery too - all I get is a hopeless white light from little lamps for a second. Don't even get that now...Charging indicator is off too when plugged in
People from service centre will collect it soon, hopefully it's just a one off. I'm worried that it could be dust - my room gets a lot of it, but the fan at the back is clean

After 10 seconds of holding down the power button with battery in and plugged, the orange charging indicator came back on, but it goes of again with white lights after pressing power button once again. What do these 10 seconds do?

When the charging circuit fails, the battery can't charge and the powering circuit can't provide enough power to boot the laptop. It sounds like a power related issue.

Let us know when it comes back from RMA the resolution listed by Asus.
