External GPU on G750JW?

Hi everyone!
I have a G750JW laptop and I have a thunderbolt port (I assumed that`s what it is, since there is a little white and blue bolt sticker).
I really would love to upgrade my graphics but I don`t know if the possibility of an external GPU is actually real or not.
If yes what enclosure do you guys suggest?

Should I wait for the ROG one? Is the razer core compatible?

I can't give you any advice on this matter since the ROG XG station 2 is not available yet
and the Razer core is only compatible with their own laptop, which is written on their official website.
