'Esc' and '2' buttons not registering properly after pressing 'W'. (asus rog scar 18)

I am experiencing a keyboard issue with my ASUS ROG Scar 18. The problem occurs specifically when pressing the W key:

• After pressing W, the Esc key and the 2 key intermittently fail to register.

• They only respond if I repeatedly press them or continue holding down W while pressing.

Things i have done to try and resolve this issue are:

• Checked windows accessibility features and made sure sticky keys and filter keys were disabled.
• Made sure all asus and armoury crate drivers were upto date. Windows also.
• Reinstalled keyboard Drivers.
• Reinstalled keyboard firmware.
• Tested keyboard outside of those specified games in which the problem arises.
• Made sure all overlays are disabled.

Could you please advise on possible troubleshooting steps or let me know if the keyboard requires repair/replacement?

I have a ASUS ROG STRIX 18 as well and I have this same issue. Turns out the latest update to armory crate borked something. My esc key, F1, F2 and 2 keys stopped working. Just as you said they work if you hold w. After much troubleshooting, I isolated it to armory crate software. If you end the related services in task manager it'll solve the problem. I also tried doing a clean uninstall using the uninstall tool and that also worked. Hopefully they identify and push a fix for this soon so we can both use armory crate and our full keyboard. In the mean time, I'm just ending the tasks when I game.

I tried what you said but it didn't seem to change anything.

Since making this initial post i have also tested keyboard in bios and i am encountering the same issues.

This problem did first start when i installed the new Bios update but i don't know if it is simply a coincidence.

I am starting to think that this issue in my case may be hardware related which will be a huge disappointment since ive had motherboard, screen, camera, fans etc already replaced less than a year ago.
