Elantech touchpad: Right + Left click doesn't work

This is very common problem and till yet unresolved. The Elantech driver disables right button + left button touchpad click. In the result you cannot aim and shoot in games also you cannot code that kind of interaction in your applications.

Driver detects LMB+RMB click but it somehow filters it so there is no effect -> it is disabled.

I could not find correct entry in the registry to disable that obviously horrible setting.

I have a huge problem with ElanTech touchpad. Without the ElanTech driver both the keys can be used at the same time(R+L). This is usefull in games like Mafia2 (can't play without it). When I install their driver I get the gestures, scrolling etc. but I can't use both keys at the same time. It is a common problem.

Please notice:


1. It has nothing to do with the Windows or hardware but only with the Elantech driver settings.
2. Driver detects LMB+RMB click -> it is shown on a dynamic icon on a task bar also uninstalling drivers fix the problem, but then you can't use your touchpad fully.



Has anyone have any luck with this or can we bring this to asus?

Wow i thought i was the only one who cared about this nice to see others are out there hope asus can give us the option to use both mod needs to pin this for it gets more views

I posted this reply to another thread. I have the same or similar issue with the touchpad. On my G751JL/Windows, the ELAN driver version 11.5.15.5 works, the 11.15.0.12 version doesn't work. With the latter driver, I can move the mouse cursor around but that's it, it won't allow you to select or click on anything.

I will join in - same issue - just happened - no reason why - just stopped working. 😞 2600.00 USD and only 60 days into it...

This thread was an issue that left and right click at the same time did not work. Please dont resurrect threads when you dont have that issue. You said your touchpad would not click anything.

Did anyone solve this issue? Neither of my touchpad buttons on my G751JT works. In case I do not have a desktop mouse I can barely use the computer....

Sometimes its the driver sometimes its a cable loose and sometimes people cant figure out what it is and end up RMAing it.
