My G73 did but it eventually was useless for newer Bluray Discs as it woudln't update the AACS key without purchasing an upgraded version of Cyberlink. I know it comes with the Power2Go burning software but does it also come with playback?

It's odd that the answer to this question is difficult to find via google. I was planning on pulling the trigger today but this is a deciding factor as it's a $80 addon that would change what I order.

I just bought the cyberlink suite and update it. Usually get at least one update for free then wait until they have a special. Just recently updated everything for like $30 to the latest versions. This all goes back to Sony who still has the patents on the codecs locked down with few being able to buy licenses. I tried to get VLC player to do it but was unsuccessful.

my G750 have a BL player and came with a BL play back software (ASUSDVD) who is a special version of Cyberlink powerdvd 10. i had a first free update(v 10.0.5712.52) and last year i received an other free update (v 12.05611.55) for the lastest encryption BL discs and it still work on Windows 10 BL dics. so on my g750 laptop i have actually powerdvd 12 and i didn't pay anything for the update.
i know that some g752 have powerdvd 12. ask people how have a g751 with built-in BL player there is a BL play back software.
I have an ASUS G751JY it has a Bluray DVD RW but comes with no Bluray writer or playback software. G751 w/ bluray owners must purchase the bluray playback software separately or use free third party bluray software that usually has limited bluray playback features & no bluray writing capabilities. I have no bluray writing or software suites & never used the Bluray DVD-RW on my G751JY notebook. If I ever want to use the bluray DVD-RW for bluray playback or writing I will have to buy a bluray suite ($100 US )
