Well, I could be wrong about this, but my understanding was that the inverter board is built onto the back of the screen. Look at this pic:

The reason I had to change my screen was because I got the dreaded PSODs. That was fairly common on early G73jh with the Hannstar screen, which is what I had. Supposedly the bad Hannstar screens had defective inverters, which is the main reason I had to change my screen. The Hannstars are supposed to be good screens otherwise, and I have replaced my first screen with another new Hannstar.
Maybe you can get away with just replacing the board that is on the back of the screen. Let us know if you do, and it works!
😉I'll be interested in knowing because I kept the old screen, and if all I need is the inverter board to fix it that would be great. Assuming the inverter board is cheap (like $25 or less)
