After all my troubles I have noticed that my laptop has a dead pixel in the top left corner....great. Have contacted the seller, but this will be the last time I ever buy from ASUS.

Why? Asus does not manufacture the screen. Most likely your screen was designed by either Chi Mei or AUO.

We customize Asus, MSI, and Clevo laptops!

Well Chi Mei have manufactured the screen, just haven't seen so many issues with a laptop ever. Have sent my laptop into RMA twice already, despite solving the cause of the issue myself (additional RAM was 1.5V).

That sucks. Any tech can have issues, is it brand new?

Nearly three months old, so quite new. My first "gaming" laptop too.

I have a dead pixel too. But it's dark blue, you can't see it on any color other than black.. even then you need to look close. Center-ish bottom left.

Seems I have two, one appears on black and is close to the other one (think it's green). Just knowing they're there is annoying, other than that I need to look close to see them.

P.S. These aren't dead pixels, they're STUCK pixels. And can be repaired if you're lucky with a few tools that can 'massage' it out.

Dead Pixels are black

Stuck Pixels are stuck to a color
