Crysis 3, settings on G75

Amazing game, actually pushed my card harder than any benchmark test. My GTX 660m reached 71C today (which is more than 30 minutes of furmark...) - GTX660m, OC'd @ 1200/2890...
The game pushed my system a lot more further than the beta...campaign sucks up your power entirely, specially on areas with a lot of particle effects and volumetric shadows....I had to lower post fx, shading and particles to medium (rest high) and textures very high (16x), in order to get some constant playable fps (varies from 28-60 fps depending on the area). How's your G75 handling it?

The game is gorgeous, and the gameplay is amazing, very enjoyable. And the multiplayer is an awesome experience too, very different style compared to other FPS...I'm running a combination of high/medium, with textures at very high. I'm glad they finally made a game that pushes a lot of systems to their limits. It's a pity I can't use the new drivers though, as it won't let me OC that high...

OH YES! One detail. I was overjoyed to compare my G75 side by side with my PS3, and see an extreme difference with the graphics on LOW (I know, very much expected, but actually seeing it is a lot more fun :P), no words to describe high...

BTW, add me. Username: Davejonnes!

Now, back to the game...

Well i put up a nice and easy step by step guide on page 2 of this thread - http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?29466-Crysis-3-settings-on-G75/page2

Once you have installed the injectors, Then you need to update the settings files that i explained in this post as the first initial settings had alot of b
Also highly reccomend you get the hypermatrix app that changes cpu resolution timing mentioned in my post below. That has given me fps boosts in like ALL my games ![/QUOTE

Many Thanks!

Can you guys post your specific configurations here please? Like, everything to the detail? lol

lol ok here we go..

1) The first thing you wanna do is go into you Nvidia Control Panel and use these settings:

17615

This should give you a little optimization boost with and also most importantly greatly reduce the level of input lag.

2) Next you want to start the game on your profile and go into graphic settings - Make sure anti-aliasing is OFF. Then go into advanced settings and turn all settings to Very High, and Shaders to Medium or High its up to you (Shaders has a very high GPU impact) Motion Blur can be set to OFF or Low depending on prefrence - It has a 1-2 fps hit but seems to look much better when above 20fps. Anistrophic filtering to 16x or 8x. Now once you have applied these settings just quit the game..

3) Now you need to add the injector aswell as add some commands to autoexecute upon starting the game. So start off by adding the autoexec.cfg file into your root crysis3 direcotry. This only executes the tweaks when you start the game, so if you change in game profile or graphics setting that says custom on it, it will override that particular command. A simple restart of the game should put it all back tho 🙂

4) Extract all the files from SweetFX zip file into the main directory aswell as "Bin32" folder. For some reason the game scans both the Bin32 and main directory. Also you need to go into the SweetFX folder that you would have just extracted out and you should see "Shaders" folder. Copy and paste Shaders into the main game directory aswell. I know its a bit messy but its worth it, and its the only way to make the injectors work with crysis 3 lol..

5) Last step is to get your MSI-Afterburner overlay to work through all those layers.. Open up the RivaTunerOSD app thats active with msi-afterburner and click the + icon to add new profile - Find Crysis3.exe - select it and then click on the big wrench icon on the top right - Once in the setings menu, tick the checkbox for "Enable Compatibility With Modified Direct3D runtime libraries".

Now some important notes: SweetFX injector adds alot of effects that sharpen and make colours more vibrant and movie like sometimes. But i have noticed indoors it can sometimes saturate the image too much and also sometimes it can hit your fps in very demanding situations. So because of this you can instantly turn off the injected effects in game by holding down the FN key and pressing num lock/scr lock key. This allows you to enable/disable the effect easily in game depending on the area your in..

Everything playing well for the most part, I'm getting 25-45, or 50 FPS (av. 28 to 35).
All is well till I get to part 7 (Gods and Monsters), I'm having big drop offs down to 10 FPS or lower.
This happens around the first close encounter attack with the that "mother" while in the air, and after I get let go.
FPS drops to like 10FPS, or lower, I had to lower all settings to low just to get past this level!!!
Any help in settings would be much appreciated!

PS: Everything (put aside the drop offs) looks awesome!

I've gotten up to step 5 and so far it already looks excellent.

However I'm having some trouble on step 5. I've downloaded both MSI afterburner and Rivatuner but I'm unable to find the RivatunerOSD app active with afterburner and the subsequent + profile button you refer to.

Thank you very much for posting this you are THE man.

Ah ok.. Basically when u have MSI-AfterBurner running.. there should be two small tray icons running on the bottom right of your display. One of them is afterburner and the other which has a little number 60 on it is the rivatuner utility.. just open that and set it up 🙂

Let me know how it runs.. You need a BIG OC also to play like this so on my G75 ive OC'd it to 760/1700

Yea there are some veryy demanding areas that might hit the fps a little - the lowest ive got ever is about 15 with sweetfx on and shaders HIGH but it fluctuates alot and tends to go back up to around 25-30 which is the target for now in stressful situations. Then again you have pretty much maxed out the game lol. Turning off sweetfx can help sometimes.
But im still tweaking little things as i go along for better performance mainly. If i come across any breakthroughs i will definitely update you guys  One thing im working on now is hitblur. Trying to turn it off as this controls the amount of blur and effects when you get hit or are near an explosion. Turning this off will make it much better 🙂

I'm getting great results, around 40-60 fps consistently. I had to go into my settings to make both afterburner and rivatuner appear in my tray while minimized, but I still cannot find where to add profiles or "Enable Compatibility With Modified Direct3D runtime libraries".

Thx mrwolf for everything, I'm getting a solid 45 FPS, or higher.........U DA MAN!!!!!!!!

PS: maybe in the near future nVidia will provide some fixes in a "driver set" for some of these issues we are all having.

EDIT: I lowered the setting in game, and tweeked setting in the nVidia control panel more towards performance to get better "FPS".
Plus did the 760/1700 OC in afterbuner, temps are not bad, maxed out @ 77c, average is around 69c-71c.
