Crysis 3, settings on G75

Amazing game, actually pushed my card harder than any benchmark test. My GTX 660m reached 71C today (which is more than 30 minutes of furmark...) - GTX660m, OC'd @ 1200/2890...
The game pushed my system a lot more further than the beta...campaign sucks up your power entirely, specially on areas with a lot of particle effects and volumetric shadows....I had to lower post fx, shading and particles to medium (rest high) and textures very high (16x), in order to get some constant playable fps (varies from 28-60 fps depending on the area). How's your G75 handling it?

The game is gorgeous, and the gameplay is amazing, very enjoyable. And the multiplayer is an awesome experience too, very different style compared to other FPS...I'm running a combination of high/medium, with textures at very high. I'm glad they finally made a game that pushes a lot of systems to their limits. It's a pity I can't use the new drivers though, as it won't let me OC that high...

OH YES! One detail. I was overjoyed to compare my G75 side by side with my PS3, and see an extreme difference with the graphics on LOW (I know, very much expected, but actually seeing it is a lot more fun :P), no words to describe high...

Did the +135 +1000 and can keep myself around 68' playing BF3 @ HIGH res.

I havent really tried ultra yet.. High looks pretty decent tbh 🙂

I'll check it later Gotti 🙂 But I played BF3 earlier @ ultra settings with no problem (overclocked)

Exept for hbao I use ssao, and msaa x2

The sad part is that I seem to have a tiny green pixel around the center of my screen I can't get rid of 😞

They couldn't even give me a new G75vx, because ASUS stopped the production of them duo to the new haswell chip. They could either refound the Money (not the BF3 and the SSD I bought) But then I'm left with a SSD and a game I won't be able to use.. So GG :rolleyes:

Wow, you have a stuck pixel, that's a shame.
you should try this>>> Stuck Pixel Fixer
Maybe that will fix your problem.

I tried the pixel thing.. Didn't Work for me tho 😞

But I did some BF3 gaming with the ultra settings I wrote and ended up with a avarage fps of 32-34 @ a 64player map.
So I'd say thats pretty decent 🙂 It's only a light OC.. And my temperatures are not running higher then 71.. And stays around 60-62 most of the time.

After the installing the newest nvidia driver - I could actually run ultra settings with 60-70fps (same settings).
The only time it drops down to 45-55 is when I play those huge open area maps.

However, I sent my G75VX back to get a refound because of the pixel issue - Gonna buy it somewhere else, once they refound the Money back to me.

I had a a green pixel on my BBK5 the first day I got it, I pressed my thumb against the screen right on the pixel, and it disappeared, it's been around 6 months now since that day and it never came back...idk lol...

Hi

I am trying to set this mod up, but game will not start, actually i see it starts then it closes after 30sec or so.
I figured that if i remove 4 d3d files from bin32 folder, game works fine, but i am not sure now if this mod works at all.

Also, in game im getting nor more than 30fps.

Id appreciate your help

Haven't installed it on me G75 yet, but on my desktop which is more than capable of running it on Highest settings the game laggs like a house on fire and the cut scenes are by far the worst.
My desktop has
I7 2600K 3.4Ghz
16gb DDR3 corsair vengeance Black 2000mhz
Nvidia Evga 560ti 2gb gpu

yet for some unknown reason it lags to hell and back, mostly it lasts 10-20 seconds and i can continue playing.

Anyone got any idea on why it lags so much, also the intro video lagged really bad, yet when I restarted the game and the clip was running it didn't lag at all, the game still lagged majorly.

I might have to fraps some footage to show you whats happening.
