Crucial M550 SSD dies on G56JK

Hi ROGers!

I replaced the internal HDD on a G56JK with a Crucial M550 256GB SSD (CT256M550SSD1) and inserted the HDD into the optical bay with the use of a hdd caddy. Just after three days it didn't boot into the SSD anymore and there were no sign of SSD in the BIOS! I had it RMA replaced with a new one and now again just after 6 weeks the new SSD died as well! Any ideas why is this happening? Is it the laptop? Or it is just that this model is not compatible with G56JK?

Thanks.

No, I never updated the FW, mine should be still on the original MU01 version then. The new firmware has been release just a few days after I got the replacement and I didn't check if there is any update later.
