I like to use my g75 at home and hook it up to my external monitor and keyboard My question is does my laptop get the proper cooling when my lid is closed I don't know were the cooling vents are so I'm not sure if it a good idea to use my laptop with the lid closed I know the heat comes out the back but were does it draw it in from I just wanted to get some info on it so I don't go and mess up my beautifull laptop.

Okay now we getting off topic!
But since we are going there, IMHO Asus should offer a more "Direct to the public customizable option"(like HP, Dell, and others)
This option should be more 'Cost effective", (not so many different models being produced for retail).
Give the consumer the control on configuration options, CPU, GFX card, memory size, and drive options!

Now if you go to the HP.com for example, you have the choice between at lease three to four CPUs, and the same with GFX cards, and many drive and memory configuration options.

What do you guys think?

I think the way asus made the cooling sytem on them is outstanding next year im think im going to upgrade my cpu to a i7-3940xm and the 670mx with two 512gb ssd vertex 4 just for the heck of it. When i watched the video on the g75 itblooked liked the airflow came in through the keyboard area. My laptop doesn't get hot or anything but I really wanted to know for sure that way I wouldn't damage it. It would be devasgating to damage something that you have a couple grand into. When I ordered my laptop from Hidevolution they put ice diamond thermal past I think thats what its called. But they lut it on my gpu and my cpu since it was upgrade so hopefully that helps a lot aswell.
