Controlling each speaker individually

Noob question here, guys. Is it possible to control each speaker on the G75V individually? When I test the speakers on the Via HD Audio Deck the subwoofer is way way louder than the other 2 speakers...which makes all the sound come from behind the laptop (I actually thought the other 2 speakers weren't working until I tested them with VIA HD)

you can control the volume of the subwoofer via your realtek driver utility. you can play around with the volumes and sound settings like environment and equalizer to get it better.

FWIW, he has VIA audio HD deck, not Realtek driver utility. Not sure how differently they function, though. 🙂

what is correct audio model of your laptop? i think it can be control in audio control pannel.

If you have the VIA Sound card the link I posted earlier in this thread will walk you through all the settings. If you have a Realtec card your on you own

Maybe I read something wrong, but it looks like you have to use the specific media player mentioned in order to turn off the subwoofer. Am I reading that correctly?

yes you read that wrong C_man did use that player, however I just use Windows Media player. Below that he shows you all the settings in the VIA HD Deck. In the speaker section you can just bring the slider down to 0. His equalizer setting work pretty good for me, there are a couple of others that have published their Equalizer setting at least one is in the sticky's. If you turn off the Bass speaker completely you will just sound very tinny. VIA Drivers 600 and above all work pretty good, I think I stopped at the 900 drives myself. I think there up to 1400 or 1600 by now, I haven't heard anyone say that any of them fix the sound problems with this series of G notebooks. Everytime you install an updated drivers set you have to go through the whole set up again.
