Can anyone confirm that the G751, or even most/all ROG Notebooks, does not have Optimus?

Thanks guys, but not sure how to take this if different opinions says it does and don't have Optimus? I'm pretty sure myself that it doesn't have, but was hoping for a conclusive here. Any gaming laptop for the future cannot have Optimus as it will render any VR devices like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive completely blacked out or at best crippled. The drivers for the Rift need direct access to the GPU via HDMI.

There is no contention that the G751 does not have Optimus, it was very prominently advertised on release that this was the case... though looking at the current material for the G751 does not make this clear at all, about the only thing that indicates it doesn't have Optimise is the lack of advertising the feature.

This is a feature and not something missing. If you have optimus your laptop screen is capped to 60hz, as well the technology isn't widely known for being reliable. Many gamers despise Optimus so it was removed here.

All G-sync capable laptops do not have Optimus, the technologies in their current incarnations are not compatible.

Navis955's comment was not refuting that their is no Optimus in G751s, but rather his point was that most other Asus laptops do have Optimus.
