Coming Soon: G75VX

X-ROG

This is an early heads up prior to our official announcement. We've been under Nvidia NDA until the GTX 670MX launched last week, but now we're still under ASUS NDA (which I'm breaking.. but with good reason imo) so please understand I can't really answer more questions.

For those who are contemplating a G75VW now, please take this info to help your buying decision: whether you want to buy a G75 now because it suits your needs and you need one now, or, wait for the G75VX and it's slight upgrades. Official announcement is about a month away, but depending on how long the G75 took to get to your region after that was announced, use that as a guide as to when you'll see the VX.

All I can say now is that the G75VX will feature the GTX 670MX (Google the performance relative to GTX 670M and see if it matters to you) and maybe you want to see here for another idea of what to expect, but I will stress to ignore any illusion of pricing you see until it's all properly confirmed.

However believe it or not we've still managed to keep a couple of other supplementary hardware upgrades secret, and for that you'll have to wait til later (or I really will lose my job). 😄

So, what are the known issues of VX?

Is VX already available in Asia?

I got mine from Singapore but limited stock..will restock again next year

Only issue I encountered; run 3dmark/gpu-z to force hang-up and notice ssd/hdd is undetected when boot again. It gets fixed randomly after on-off several times. No driver support yet on new Kepler 670mx might cause these issues..

So far games I played BF3, SC2, D3, Dota2 smooth fps on 1080p/high-ultra settings which I think still on par with old fermi 670m..

So, without proper driver, 670mx already on par with 670m?

About there on stock..also notice machine runs cool only get 53-63c gpu temp while playing
Definitely 670mx has more potential to OC than 670m(fermi)

Just curious, how many of you US customers gave up on the VX?

I've had the same Asus laptop since 2008, and it has yet to let me down. I'm perfectly okay with waiting a bit longer to get the VX.

I would just appreciate having even the slightest idea of a release timeframe. Especially since it's already being sold nearly everywhere except the US.

Now I have managed to clone my 750GB hard drive to my new OCZ Vector and installed16 GB (total of 24 now). Tried Windows 7 but I could not get any decent speed on the GPU so I went for a clone of the W8 and it works very well. Nice screen (3D), can't say I have anything to complain about with it, and the games seem to work very well with the computer.

What model of keyboard was used in G75VX? Can I anywhere order this keyboard with another language? German keyboard with QWERTZ is killing me. I need normal QWERTY with Russian language.

Would you guys shell out 1500$ for a non-3D VX model with no thunderbolt and no ac wireless card? Personally I think I can live without these features. I'm not willing to spend another 40$-100$ on thunderbolt cables and adapters, plus I won't be able to take advantage of the wireless card for another 6 months, if not longer...

told you these are just marketing gimmicks .... you didn't listen ...glad you came to your senses
the ''here and now'' performance is what matters....so VX is a bit overpriced. Still better than its direct rivals from the big brands.

Just realized I don't need thunderbolt port, Western Digital external drives have no thunderbolt adapters 🙂
