This is an early heads up prior to our official announcement. We've been under Nvidia NDA until the GTX 670MX launched last week, but now we're still under ASUS NDA (which I'm breaking.. but with good reason imo) so please understand I can't really answer more questions.

For those who are contemplating a G75VW now, please take this info to help your buying decision: whether you want to buy a G75 now because it suits your needs and you need one now, or, wait for the G75VX and it's slight upgrades. Official announcement is about a month away, but depending on how long the G75 took to get to your region after that was announced, use that as a guide as to when you'll see the VX.

All I can say now is that the G75VX will feature the GTX 670MX (Google the performance relative to GTX 670M and see if it matters to you) and maybe you want to see here for another idea of what to expect, but I will stress to ignore any illusion of pricing you see until it's all properly confirmed.

However believe it or not we've still managed to keep a couple of other supplementary hardware upgrades secret, and for that you'll have to wait til later (or I really will lose my job). 😄

ASUS is still being very tight lipped about the VX release.

the g75vx is secretly announced long time ago by asus back on oct.
the secret announcement is the official announcement (nvidia launch gtx670mx under the radar as well) - didnt know it exist till mid november, thanks god i did some research before getting a g75. i almost got a g75vw version

The g75v is launch long time ago and the g75 vx is just an update.
i dont think they will have any special announcement for this unit

there are still alot of g75vw unit out there in the market, i guess it will be updated on asus webpage once all the majority of vw stock is clear(i notice that asus is always late on their webpage)

the g75vx unit is on the official catalogue of asus malaysia (Nov-Dec 2012), singapore had launch their vx unit as well

it all depends on your region.

Hey Cl092, on Rue du commerce, it still says that it will be available under 30 days. I think they still don t have any informations from asus. I sent an email to Absolute PC (Asus official retailer in France) for a release date, and they answer me that they don't have any clue about it. Hope it will be out before Xmas.

Checked many resellers in norway/sweden and denmark -> noone of these listed up thunderbolt port on their Asus G75VX-CV044H product. Might not be available for all G75VX notebook versions ?

Yep, it is not available for all G75VX, only if the retailer ordered it.

any evidence to back that up ??. i really wanted to know if this thunderbolt port is available

maybe there will be on the g75VY on feb-march 2013 or g76 on june 2013

"G75vx is coming with thunderbolt port" ?? marshall replied "maybe,make sure you check with retailer"and "i'm sure that it come with one" is this a misrepresentation from asus (marshall)

most retailer come out with false spec "gtx670mc,gtx670m,some with thunderbolt some without one but on the same model at different page such as amazon/harvy norman(aus).some with 802.11ac some with 802.11a/g/n"

marshall should clear things up with us cause most of the ROGer here had pre order their g75vx n expecting a thunderbolt port...

if you make a statement representing asus make sure your statement is clear

so marshall, does all standard g75vx comes with thunderbolt or it only comes on specific model (new motherboard with thunderbolt port)???

is there 2 version of VX ? older motherboard (no thunderbolt) n a newer motherboard (with a thunderbolt)

which version of VX have one ??
