Can the G751JY run on max performance from just the battery?.

Like the topic says, can the G751JY (980m) run on max performance from just the battery?.
I've disabled all the power savng settings I could find and set the geforce driver to maximum performance, but still it runs about 20fps slowerthen when I connect the ac power.
Is this correct behavior?, or is there a setting I'm missing?.
I often have short gaming sessions, 20 mins etc. so I don't expect the battery to last long without plugging in the ac :).

It's normal for performance to drop on battery. This is the case for all high performance gaming laptops because drawing that much power would damage the battery.

Actually, this isn't even limited to laptops. The Tesla electric cars have a launch mode that allows high discharge from the battery but only very briefly, not continuously. 🙂
