C2 stepping laptops without USB bug ETA?

Hi,

I was wondering when updated laptops were coming out. Apparently C2 motherboards are already hitting the market.

For those unaware of the issue, read HERE.

Are there going to be some stickers, or model number changes (such as G750JX_XXXX) to distinguish between them?
I read that fixed ASUS motherboards would be carrying stickers on their boxes.

Personally interested in availability in Europe, Germany here, but others may be interested in different regions.

Thanks!

Unless something changes the known C1 stepping USB 3.0 issue is not a reason for RMA.

From my understanding the only problems this is causing is the fact that 'sometimes' it won't recognize USB sticks connected to 3.0 SS after it comes out of sleep mode... Is that it? Seriously? So no keyboard/mouse issues only storage drives? (which could be a problem if you have an external 3.0 drive like me) So there will be no drop in speed etc?

Also, I just tested a USB stick in the ports and no problems so far. I plugged in a 3.0 compatible 32GB stick messed around with it, transferred some files etc, put it into sleep mode and woke it up 30 minutes later and it still recognized the drive without any problems...

/confused.

Same here, I am not experiencing this bug at all

Hmm... definitely strange. I'll try it a few times and see what happens, in the mean time could anyone explain why both me and IntelDude is not effected by this?

Hmm... Interesting.

We'll just have to wait until someone confirms exactly what the symptoms of this bug is suppose to be as no one here is actually suffering from it.

The problem is it doesn't exactly explain what causes it to happen. As you can see some memory drives worked but some didn't in the test you posted.

We have confirmed at least 3 people who are not effected, can anyone here confirm if they ARE effected?

Just wanted to bump this by saying I have now been using my DataTraveller with my laptop for a month now and I am yet to come across the USB bug. Unless I'm doing something wrong but I doubt it.

(Put the laptop into sleep mode with the USB connected, wake it up whenever you use it next, then check my computer. The USB stick shows up without any issues.)
