Broken recovery DVDs. Please help!

So I went ahead and tried to partition the disk on my G75. It failed horribly.. Fortunately I had made my Asus recovery DVDs prior to this incident. Truoble is it says that DVD 2 is broken.

I´ve tried running a clean Win 7 install (from legal image found on web), but somehow it won´t install. I tried purchasing recovery DVDs from serviceshop.asus.com, but it says "There’s no compatible image for this serial number, please contact us for further assistance." So I´ve contacted them, but have yet to get a response.

Is there any way to download the recovery images from web (english or norwegian)?

It is very tempting, and apparently a hell of a lot easier, to get an illegal copy of windows for this machine..

You need a Win 7 install disk that already has SP1 applied onto it ( so that it understands UEFI stuff ) ... the original Win 7 install disks will not work correctly.

Looks like this worked. Finally found a sp1 image.

Bonus in losing bundled crapware. Thanks 🙂
