I previously tweaked my G771JW laptop to use NVMe and it worked quite nice. Now I got rid of Windows and that bloody NVMe and installed just plain Kali-linux on ssd drive. Only problem is that now I want to "upgrade" this tweaked BIOS to regular Asus bios.
As a result of tweaking the previous bios I lost possibility to enter bios with del- key on startup. Something I thought wouldn't matter but now I think different.
Anyone have a thought how to flash that G771JWAS.211 bios file with regular linux tools? I don't have uefi tools or any other windows tools that made the upgrade quite easy. I tried to search but everyone says "enter bios to upgrade"... what if I can't enter bios?
My biggest fear is I have to reinstall windows to use uefi tools or others to upgrade bios.. shouldn't linux do the same? I'm quite a noob with linux but I'll manage with instructions.

Umm, mmkay. For some reason.. if I now press F2 during booting it actually goes to bios. Which it didn't do when windows was installed. All fine now. 😋
