DirectX 11 or 10???

hey i heard that the geforce 460m in my rog notebook was directX 11 capable but in the windows 7 it shows as directX 10 version.I cant download DirectX 11 because its windows 7 standard.

HDMI Gaming on TV

My lap top seems to shut down after a short time when gaming on my TV through HDMI. Only when the lid is closed... Is there a fix for this? Besides leaving the screen open.
