Yea siddique305 is correct.. Also if you really really wanna MAXX it out like i have done. You need to OC GPU 750/1650, OC CPU to 105mhz (3.5ghz) and also Unpark your cores on the CPU, which basically turns on all cores ALL the time. It mainly important for laptops as they have power management bios so 99% of the time u are never using all ur cores, even in "high performance mode". To be honest High performance mode in Asus power management app and Nvidia control panel is useless !! all it does it constantly clocks the GPU and CPU to 100% which is actually bad and damaging if you guys are going to OC so keep those things all on Adaptive and let the laptop scale itself when needed. I have payed for an Ivy-Bridge laptop and wanna actually use all those cores i payed for so i think this is essential.. With desktops its not so important...

Unparking the cores has had huge difference in my system, its faster in all CPU related activities and much more responsive. In planetside 2 i have gotten huge performance difference and reduction in micro-stutter. In Hitman no difference with unparked cores as its more GPU intensive, but i reckon bf3 will be effected alot by this. The only downside to CPU unparking is that it will use more power and have bad battery life. But then again you can always park the cores back easily 🙂

Now its proppa beast man ! ( I will put up a little guide or something later when im free..)

Aha... See People.... Now We Have Two Proofs ! 😉

Do You Notice Any Difference In Heat, mrwolf ?

Okay, but OC'ind the GPU at 750/1650 wasn't stable for me as I got artifacts. I'm gonna try again today. Btw,how to OC CPU? Cores are all unparked and damn,Minecraft was way smoother,BF3 as well

Tried OC'ing to 750/1650
Artifacts on furmark. However my card can be overclocked to 740/1800 with no problems. Will test ingame as soon as the damn patch has finished downloading.
I'm just curious, how did some people manage to reach 750 MHZ core clock without trouble. Is it because they get binned GPU or they are using volt mod?

@Siddique: No, no real difference in CPU core temps at all really. I think the Ivy Bridge is suppose to be ice cool so it does live up to its hype lol..

@AgenBlaze: Every GPU is different, some can OC to 800 and be fine some cant. I can OC to 750 on mine with no problems but in certain games i did notice artifacts so i too use 740/1650 and everything works flawlessly.

To OC your CPU you need to download and install Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. Farthest you can take it is 106MHZ but i wouldnt go over 105 just to be on the safe side since our cores are all unparked and it need too much power :s. But be warned that some people have had issueswith its fail safe and apparently if your laptop freezes or BSOD and needs to be rebooted without re-setting your CPU OC it will be altered in the bios and you cannot change it back.. Unless you resintall new bios.

I dont suggest you OC CPU, really its just not that necessary.

Gee,I'd better not OC my CPU,I'm not putting my laptop's warranty for some CPU OC
Those who got GPU that can OC to 800 are so lucky :C

Yeah, just unpark the CPU's, I wouldn't OC it.Kind of unecessary really...this CPU a little superior in comparison to the GPU's we have on these anyways...lol

Plying it on the highest settings possible and runs just perfect!

I'm running a clean-installed Win8 Pro x64 (G75VW, 670M, 16 gigs, i7) and BF3 plays perfectly for me with all settings maxxed. have not tried OCing though. i'm a little hesitant to try that.

you can refer to this game chart to get some ideas.
