Battery replacement for g53sw

Hey guys, being a long time since I connected here. Well after quite some use, and 2 power jack replacements, my battery is dying. Now I'm about to replace it. But I'm not sure how much should I spend on it.

I've seend chinese batteries for 45. I've seen batteries for 68 in USA (which they could easily be chinese as well). And I've seen the lamborgini chinese and USA batteries.

Given my understanding on batteries and cells, I'm not really sure I should get a fake battery, this laptop drains too much power too fast. For starters it doesn't even turn on if it is connected to an hdmi and unplugged.

So I want to get the lamborgini replacement cause I understand it was designed to be able to draw more current. I think it should have a higher C value per cell.

But in my experience dealing with batteries, there are almost no guarantees on getting the real deal.

So what are your experiences replacing batteries? Has anyone bought from a chinese seller and tested the quality or disassembled the battery after it died to check if high end cells where used? If so can you recommend a link (international shipping)? How good/bad was the performance of the chinese ones?

Also has anyone replaced their cells on their battery? Do they have an active chip to measure the charge or are they passive?

Thanks!

Well due to the lack of response I decided to go with a cheap one. Specially since I won't have any guarantees that the ones that are more expensive actually have better cells inside, it could be the same one just charged premium. It probably was not the best idea but anything will be better than my current battery that lasts 10 minutes from full to empty...

i think for battery use, it have life cycle, i think you can choose cheap one, but, also you can visit asus estore to buy new one.

I know, the original one last me a bit over a year, but I'm not battery friendly, it was actually more than I expected. My only fear is that the cells are not able to be drawn as much current as this machine needs. I did buy it from a top seller from the states though, hopefully it does not dissapoint me.

I've never tried the asus store before. Should have checked the prices now that I think off it, it is too late though... But in almost a year I'll be in the same situation, so I'll check it next time 😛
