does anyone notice that the battery life has halved since they updated from windows 8 to 8.1? i used to get 4 hours web browsing on the power saver plan with all the brightness down, but now, i can hardly get 2 hours. also i can't watch a full movie anymore. used to be able to watch 2.
i'm saying its window's fault only because i have my battery removed most of the time and use the charger to power the laptop alone at home. used the battery for 6 months while in university and every after every charge the battery estimate reads 4 hours. the moment i updated to 8.1, battery estimates never go higher than 2hrs 25 mins.
what's your opinion on this? also if you know any work arounds or patches, other than reverting back to windows 8 or if having updated nvidia drivers from nvidia NOT asus makes the battery drain faster?
