3ds Max + Vray....rendering typically hits up to 83/84 but goes back down after the render is done back to 48-50. Still works great.

brinchn27, is that at stock GPU/memory speeds? Or is that at OC speeds? If not, give it a try, I found OC'ing reduced run times enough to increase daily turnover.

Sorry hmscott, dont quite follow.....

but the 83 and 84 temperature is reflected in RealTemp with NO GPU Tweak Fan turned on. If I do turn on the GPU Tweak Fan the numbers dwindle down to about 76.

Renders are typically done in medium resolution which is 1920 x 1080. Longest render time for an interior architecture shot was about 3 hours. So i have not exactly tested super high quality complex renders with a million different reflective and refractive surfaces which would probably take 24+hours.

Sorry bud, I really dont understand the technical jargon...I want to give you an answer because you have been so helpful in the past but what do you mean by "reduced run times" and "daily turnover"?

brinchn27, sorry, I guess those phrases don't translate exactly, but when I define them I think they will apply 🙂

"reduced run times" - improve performance of the CPU/GPU and Windows / Application performance such that the time it takes to do a "render" is shortened - hopefully by a considerable length of time. I would think that at least 10% would be helpful.

"daily turnover" - number of times in a day you can complete a "render" "task/job/sequence". Before improving performance you could do 10 "render jobs", now you can do 11 "render jobs" in a day, 30 more render jobs in a month, 365 more render jobs in a year - all because you improved the "render time" by "reducing" the time it took to complete the "render" job by 10%.

Setting the CPU core/cache multipliers to the maximum settings with Intel XTU and increasing the GPU frequency +135 and the GPU by +??? you have a 10% improvement in "render run time" by 10%.

Here is the sentence again:

"brinchn27, is that at stock GPU/memory speeds? Or is that at OC speeds? If not, give it a try, I found OC'ing reduced run times enough to increase daily turnover. " ... by at least 10%."

OC'ing = overclocking = slang for setting the frequency of the CPU/GPU clocks higher to allow them to complete more tasks per second.

Understood. My GPU Tweak for the G750JS is always left on and enabled to 135. However I have not tampered with any external OC'ing programs to increase it above 135. However, I may give that a try.

GPU-
Before I used to get avg. temp around 78C-79C... (max going to 83C) while playing games like ryse, crysis3,mordor etc...
but now i control my cpu and gpu fan by NBFC, i keep my fans at 62.5% to 75% while gaming and I now get avg. temp of 70C!
CPU-
Before for the same scenario it went upto 90C (avg 80).
after NBFC, It averages around 72C-75C (max 83C)

ambient temp is around 22C-24C.
