Atheros Wireless problems , 660M Frame Drop

Hi every one i need some advice, i bought my asus G75 last week Friday , in general I'm happy with the device i am able to play the newest games without any problems until yesterday , my wireless network card was giving problems each 5 minutes so he always went only local (its not my network because i have the same problem if i connect at work) but i already had this from the beginning but it was only each 3 hours or so. First off all i installed the newest driver for it just gives no difference i guess its the card it self but dues some one know or i can change it by an Intel card without losing my warranty because i cant see the card right away if i open the back plate .

The 660m i am very happy with it can play bf3 with 50-60 fps in ultra settings (not over clocked only set on high performance) but yesterday i played for around 2 hours and i had one time that the frames dropped to 1-10 but it was only for 5minutes and but it looked like a giant lag then it was back to normal had the same problem with skyrim but is it possible that it is because of the beta driver?

Already thanks for the help i would appreciate some advice Greetings Niel

Sorry for my bad English 😮

If you're reporting your wireless connection drops every 5 minutes, check that a) Security and b) Encryption in Windows 7 matches that of your wireless router. I use WPA2=Personal for Security and AES for Encryption. If you have a mismatch, the router may be disconnecting you because it believes your laptop's connection is a security breach.

Also check your Windows System Event Log for any errors referencing the wireless adapter.

How the hell do you get 50-60fps in Ultra Settings? I mean I can get it when Im looking at the sky, but not in action scenes etc etc

I have the same problem with skrym , frame rate varies alot from 30-60 everything ultra (vanilla no mods) ,maybe thats normal for 660m dont know but its not very stable , I recommend using fraps for recording fps in Skyrim play with the wireless on an off and see the differences , I'll do the same tonight I'll let you guys know .

Already thanks for the reply , i have as security wpa2 need to check my encrition ill be later this day home ill let you now. i bought a wireless stick to be sure it isnt the network , i will also check my range my friend said it was also a possibility .For the event log everything is fine but i will take another look also , with battlefield on ultra settings i recorded it with fraps i had always between 50-60 frames a sec but i think personly that the blocks happens becouse of the beta driver no sure but we will need to wait for that answer.

Ill let you guys know how it went big thanks!

I can't believe how your gtx660m can handle ultra settings with 60FPS.... even my GTX670m can't handle 60FPS even though it is high settings...
