Hello I won't to make an bios update
I have the model G752VSK-GC493T with the 7700HQ and 1070 8GB
In the Asus ROG Drivers site have 3 models
First option G752VS OC Edition ok I don't have this model
Second option G752VS (Intel 7th gen)
Third G752VS

In second option G752VS (Intel 7th gen) if I click on specifications
Have only one model with 7700HQ and a Bios version 304 on first look this is my model
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-G752VS-7th-Gen-Intel-Core/?_ga=2.71144912.1392180345.1533579242-155... model here

Specs here
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-G752VS-7th-Gen-Intel-Core/specifications/

And drivers here
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-G752VS-7th-Gen-Intel-Core/HelpDesk_Download/

But...

On the third option we have just a G752 on the site and in specifications they don't have my cousin's they only have
i7 6820HK and
i7 6700HQ
And in driver page there is a option for G752vs and G752vsk to choose and a Bios version 302 (now I get confused)

Model here
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-G752VS/?_ga=2.185972841.1392180345.1533579242-155189711.1531944148

Specs here

https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-G752VS/specifications/

And bios version here
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-G752VS/HelpDesk_Download/
Have a box to choose from tow models vs or vsk

My cpu is 7700HQ
So I need the bios 304 recommend for 7th gen correct?

The only problem is that the win flash program tells me that I need the 302 version bios and this models don't have the 7700hq cpu

I check again
G752VS OC Edition. 302 Bios downloaded
G752VS 7th Gen. 302 Bios downloaded
G752VS -. Not have a 302 bios download link
\G752VSK 302Bios downloaded

On the Asus site the have all the same build date 2017/06/20
But I put all of the in a fat32 USB drive and I try only to read the bios file
And the show me build number 04/27/17
I can confirm 100% this
I try to only Read all of them all bios files
Read option is available before flash ing
That why win flash can't confirm the bios
The ADM on Asus site have make a mistake someone need to inform this to Asus !
What if by mistake the admin on the site delete all bios version and he upload 302Bios 04/27/17 build number
And delete the 302Bios 06/20/17

Anyone can read the bios files that have wrong build number

Yes, if you check the bios filenames for the G752VS OC Edition. 302 Bios, G752VS 7th Gen. 302 bios and G752VSK 302 bios, they are all the same bios filename, so all these models use the same bios.
Believe the G752VS OC Edition download page may include different software downloads though.

Finally found the 304 bios under the G752VS 7th gen. cpu download page though.

Anyway, to keep it simple, just follow the steps below to flash the latest bios version for your G752VSK.

  • Confirm your bios model which is G752VSK in this case or the G752VS 7th gen. cpu model.
  • Find/download the latest bios version which appears to be 0304 under the G752VS 7th gen. cpu download page.
  • Flash this bios if you wish.

By the way the date you see posted on the ASUS download site is normally just the date the file was posted to the download site and not the build date although according to your screenshots it does appear there may be a G752VSK 302 bios with 2 different build dates which I don't believe is a problem.
If you plan to just use the latest G752VSK 0304 bios version though, I would not spend time worrying about the 302 bios anymore. Thanks.

Here is what you do, Download the latest BIOS From Asus Support Download you need to register your notebook and then you will get the exactly correct driver update etc for your notebook.

Uninstall Asus upgrade tool, winflash has bricked so many notebooks over the year it's just not safe to use. you don't need it for anything go get your own drivers for your specific notebook, or pay the price.

I will never install a bios update via operating system I know this
Also a make a Google search on this

Here is the funniest part of the story
A month ago I have make the registration via sn
And always I was having error that the sn don't exist for the site 😞
I call the support on my country (Greece ) with zero results 'try again later I try it every day with the same result
So I call in USA Asus support and the make the registration via sn
Now my product registration was ok 🙂
Till here all ok so today after you suggest I enter in my account I click on "My Product" and the page message is: Dear ASUS Uuer Due to the server is now busy'..............ok I wait
A few hours later let's try again same message
I try on opera/Firefox/is/chrome all same result
After a Google search in XDA forum a user suggest to use the app on smartphone and Viola it work but on PC browsers still the same error.........O.o
Now in app all ok
But I laugh... the sn was correct image was correct but on specs I have the CM236 Chipset and the 6700hq cpu

For the driver the app suggest to use the THIRD OPTION ON DRIVER SITE G752VS (not the G752VS (Intel 7th Gen.) Or of model
this one that i have G752vsk model that gives me the 302 bios
VSK (CM236)

Ok I donwload the drivers and i became crazy error incompatibility error on drivers not all but a few

Then I remember the eSupport file let's check drivers version number to see with Wich driver we have already installed
And the results the program download drivers for the
G752VS (Intel 7th Gen.) Option with out the *VSK*

Asus support is a crap

I apologise for my bad English
Is not my native language

Hi,

There are a few different ways to check this.

  • If you check which cpu you have, it will tell you which model you have, but can still be confusing because we can call them both the G752VS model although the G752VS with Kaby Lake cpu is often described as the G752VS (7th gen. cpu) or maybe less often the G752VSK model.

  • If you check the ASUS download page, there is a question mark next to the drop down menu as below which you can click on and pulls up the FAQ below which tells you how to check your bios model.
    https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1030673

    75075

  • My preference is to just check the bios model through the bios EZ flash utility or through Winflash (although you need to load a bios file before you can see which one you have).

  • Not sure if there will ever be any problems to check this way, but yes, often if you check under the notebook for the full model name under the serial number area, it will normally tell you the bios model too as in the screenshot from Oktanio's unit below.

Hope it's okay to continue this discussion, but if you check your screenshot again, Winflash reported the 302 bios was older than your 304 bios and not that you should use the older 302 bios for your model.

It's probably confusing because we haven't posted the G752VSK 304 bios to the ASUS download site yet for whatever reason (I haven't heard why or looked into it more).

You're completely right Oktanio, they are displaying the wrong BIOS on the Asus site. I had major errors with this & I remember having a debate with jdFrench over this in the past https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?100322-G752VSK-Update-BIOS-Selected-file-not-a-proper-BIOS....

Info is lacking on this subject out there, be sure to download many versions of the BIOS; as Asus are wrong, I contacted them to notify the wrong version is displayed on their website 1.5 years ago, still not fixed it!

I'm running BIOS version 304 on my G752VSK and it's ok but not perfect. Since owning the computer I've never managed to get the Thunderbolt 3.1 working. Yes I've opened quite a few threads on this topic but just haven't managed to crack it.
