Yes, but only with a new battery replacement, unfortunately.*

I'm having a similar issue with my g751JY. It won't charge past 84%, this happened more than a year ago and the laptop still works fine (always 84%, never went down or up), so I'm not really worried.
But recently I used my laptop without cable untill the laptop switched off, with a completely drained battery. When I wanted to start it again, this time plugged in, the laptop wouldn't start. So I took the battery out, assembled all part again and tried again, using only the power cable, laptop didn't start. At that point I gave up, installed the empty battery again so I could send it in for repair. I tried one last time, and the laptop start running again. So i guess it's a good idea never to drain the battery to 0% again. I was just wondering what that means? Could it be harmfull to keep using this semi-broken battery? I had no issues last 15 months since its broken, besides the one issue I described above. I don't want to be spending another 150 to 200€ on a new battery, which may break as fast as the one I already have.
