New incarnation of G703VI. And what I see HM370 chipset with 16PCIe 3.0 lanes?!? Really Asus?
Aren't graphics cards using all 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes? As I remember from G751jy, all 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes where occupied by GTX980m, which left only PCIe 2.0 lanes to run M.2 SSD which limited is speed to about 800-900 MB/s.

So how is Asus doing M.2 SSDs on G703GI/GS? Are they using external controllers, limiting GPUs to 12 PCIe 3.0 lanes or what?
IMHO it is a step backwards from G703VI Intel CM238 chipset. Just look at the comparison.

Why not use the older CM238 or newer CM246? Price probably. But using the cheapest chipset in Intel lineup in a laptop that costs more that 3000$. What the price difference 30-40$.
C'mon Asus.
