Asus not delivering the g750jx

Hello,

I am quite piss off about the actual situation. I pre-ordered the asus g750jx in a polish shop ( actually i am working in this country). The issue is that delivery date was expected in 20 / August but every 2 weeks, the shop is telling me that it will be delay for another 2 weeks.

I am at 17/09 and i have been told that maybe in 1 / october asus will deliver the equipment to this shop.

I have the chance to get the MSI gt70 2OC with almost same spec ( less SDD / HDD storage capacity and no windows) instead of the asus g750jx.

Can you guys give me some advice ? Should i wait to October or the MSI GT70 2OC is as good as the asus g750jx.

Quite tired of waiting for asus...

You are not the only one. I am waiting for my G750JH ordered on 1st August. Delivery date has been postponed 4 times allready.
Currently I have a good old Asus G53JW and I was quite happy with it so when the G750 line was announced I decided to go with Asus again.
But I am currently tired of waiting for it and considering buying Alienware. The worst thing is that even the Asus Poland can not say when and if they will acctualy be delivered.
Yes you can say that its partialy the shops fault - they should not offer products that they dont have on the stock yet, but if the bussines partner promisses a delivery till the set date you belive them.

The shop offered me some other models with discount and free mouse, but is all they can handle.

Unfortunately, Allienware is out of my budget.

Anyone can give me some info Asus g750jx vs MSI gt70 2OC ?

I think that asus is not covering europe delivery at all... what a pitty...

actually, I got my g750jx in Italy in mid-july, so it must be a regional issue.

as for the MSI alternative, I gave it a long hard look but eventually went for the ASUS for a couple reasons: the objective one the fact that the cooling system is much quieter on the ASUS under load, the subjective one being that I strongly dislike the MSI's incoherent design with grooves, red details, glossy and matte surfaces and chrome buttons all over the place which really doesn't make it look worth it's price. The customizable keyboard backlight and the easier to service innards are a bonus though.

Both systems have the follwoing same components:

Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ 2.4 - 3.4GHz, Intel® HM87, 17.3" Full HD Matte LED, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M 3GB, Windows 8 64-bit

with the following component differences:

MSI
24GB DDR3, 2x 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, BD Burner

ASUS
16GB DDR3, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, DWD±RW

ASUS will probably be much quieter and run cooler. MSI has some extra ram but its unnecessary and wolnt help on the performance much. They have the same exact screen so if you are scared of the issues that some of the ASUS screens are having the MSI is just as likely to have them.
