Asus g771jm overheating

Hi. I have an Asus G771JM and as the title says it has a very high temperature.

For example

when not running it on a cooler pad while browsing let's say, the cpu goes either between 55-62 Celsius degrees or between 47-50 (i don't know why there is such a difference) with a core speed in both cases between 3,2-3,5 Ghz (which in my opinion is pretty high).

If i am playing BAttlefield 4 the core temp goes at an average of 83 degrees. And when it reaches 82 the clock speed goes down to 2 - 2,4GHz.

When running on a cooler pad either browsing or playing bf4 the laptop cools down with at most 1-2 degrees, and sometimes while in bf4 it even gets hotter.

For example before buying a cooler, i couldn't play diablo 3 at all because it was 2 hot and the core speed was slowing down, but now with the cooler i have no problem the temperature being at an average of 71 degrees.

What i am trying to say is that sometimes it feels like i don't even have a cooling pad which is why i wanna know if there is a picture that shows me where are the cpu and gpu situated so that i can place my fans in a proper position.Right now i have them in the left corener, because thatis the only place that gets very hot

Well I think I would look on the bottom of your notebook and see where any ventilation holes or grills might be. As that would be where you would want your external fans? Not sure about the G771 but most of these G series notebook intake air from the top and ports on the sides etc. My Guess is if you run a search on Google/You Tube you'll find a dissemble guide or review that might show you where everything is.

As for the disassemble part, i will look for it and see if i can make any progres.

Well if your having an issue you should contact tech support. I only referenced the bottom panel so that you would see where if any ventilation vents would be. A cooling pad is only effective if it can help support air flow through the notebook.

Place your pad fans at that intake port on the bottom thats your best bet you also might want to consider a repaste with superior thermal compount like noctua nt-h1 and if you have any clearance you can stick some short heatsinks on the heatpipe itself i did that with a g71 that had heat issues and it really helped. Beyond that your looking at case mods which most people arent comfortable with.
